I posted to my Twitter account a few months ago that I have had some money trickling in to my PayPal account every couple of weeks, which is nice. It’s coming from a few different sources, which I like. Diversification is a good thing.
Here’s what I do to earn a little gas money (or more):
1. YouData. This is a little pay-per-click service that pays 10-15 cents or more per click for you to look at some advertiser websites. You don’t have to buy anything. You just click and move on. I can do a bunch of offers in about 2 minutes and made $2.46. That’s not much, but when’s the last time you got paid $1 a minute?
The nice thing about them is they pay biweekly to your PayPal account. You don’t have to build up $30 worth of offers just to get a payout. Sign up here (and yes, I do get paid a referral fee if you sign up, but don’t let that stop you!). Once you sign up you can get your own referral link.
2. Paid blogging. Probably nobody likes this, but I’ve found it to be somewhat lucrative. I have a couple of sites that send me assignments and articles to write and post to my blog. You can get $5 and up for posts of usually 60-100 words, depending on your PageRank, etc. It’s not hard or terribly time-consuming (unless you hate to write). Payouts are bi-weekly or monthly depending on the site. E-mail me if you’re interested and I will point you in the direction of the sites I use that I know are legitimate.
3. Inboxdollars.com. I haven’t actually received a payout from this site yet (the minimum threshold is $30.00) but I’ve managed to make $24.14 so far by just clicking on the links in the e-mails they send me. I haven’t purchased a single item. You can sign up by going here.
4. Ebates. Now, Ebates is not strictly a money-making program. You do have to spend money to make money here, but if you’re already shopping online, then why shouldn’t you get a percentage of your purchases back in cash? Log in to the Ebates website, find the link to your favorite store, use that link to access the store, and any purchase you make at that time is credited back to you at the specified percentage. Payout is quarterly. Here’s how I use it: I do all of my shopping there, and whenever I am traveling, I book through hotels.com through Ebates. I get the incentive from hotels.com (free nights after so many stays) plus 2% and up returned from every stay. Combine that with coupon codes for your favorite stores and you could be getting deep discounts. Click here to sign up for free.
5. I’ve Tried That. I’ve written a couple of articles for the guys over at I’ve Tried That and I really believe in what they are doing over there. They are committed to finding legitimate work from home and online job opportunities. Check out their Free Directory of Online Money Making Opportunities.
What I won’t do: SURVEYS. I’m a married white female with no children in my mid-30s and I live in a fairly affluent area (even though we are not affluent). I never qualify for any surveys, so I’ve stopped bothering with them. Better luck to you.
